Montegalda (VI), Piazza Guglielmo Marconi 28; 22 m/72 feet above sea level; train station at Grisignano di Zocco, about 6 km/3.7 miles to the north; the villa is located along the Vicenza-Padova bike route.

The villa is located in the center of Montegalda, which it dominates with its imposing presence.

It was constructed during the 17th century by Giuseppe Gualdo, at the time both the owner and the architect of the villa; its inspiration is vaguely Palladian, with a central structure with a large colonnaded loggia, and two imposing barchesse, also with colonnaded porticos. To the right is a small chapel with its facade facing onto the local highway.

Today the villa is the property of the comune [town] of Montegalda and houses municipal offices and the public library. It’s possible to visit by making arrangements with the comune.
