In recent years, in Italy, too, especially in the northern regions, bike paths that follow rivers, which are already so prevalent in central Europe, are being developed.

Here we present a bike route along the Livenza, a relatively short river (about 115 km/70 miles) which has its source just north of Sacile, in the foothills of the Cansiglio Plateau, and then flows across the eastern Veneto plain to Motta, Santo Stino and ending at Caorle. The route is divided into two sections: the first, from Sacile to Santo Stino (in red on the Google map), and then from Santo Stino to the Adriatic at Caorle (in blue on the Google map).
